While the tall, straight sides of the Qube look anything but ideal for a windstorm, they do offer one very clear advantage, rising between around 7 to over 8 feet (2.1 to over 2.4 m) to offer standing levels of headroom in every size of Qube tent, from two- to four-person. In many compact dome tents, you will not be able to stand at all, and if you can, it may only be toward the very center at the highest point. Standing up is nice, but we are not sure it is not so nice that we want to give up the advantages of a dome tent for a broadsided cube. Perhaps we are just not that modest if we want to stand up while throwing pants on, we can always do so outside the tent.
Our extensive ventilation system makes for a cool environment inside and reduces the possibility of internal condensation. The material is PU coated and rated to a hydrostatic head rating of 4000 meaning youll keep nice and dry even under heavy rain conditions in addition is it treated in accordance with CPAI84 Flammability standards. A heavy duty 300D Cotton Oxford material means this tent is built to last for many years to come.
Hopefully this connect tent review helped introduce you to a different type of tent that many people arent even aware exists. These are really the best connect tents available right now on the market and provide a great alternative to some of the more standard dome and cabin style tents. We would love to hear any feedback from people that are having great or not so great experiences with these tents, so please feel free to leave a comment.
This tent is the most insane camping tent I have ever seen. Its called The Decagon, and I want it. Designed by Japanese outdoor equipment company, Logos, the tent is a labyrinth of interchangeable structures. Each piece can be used individually or linked together. These modular tents have a special fastening system allows them to be attached to one another in a multitude of arrangements to create interior environments of any size and composition.
M2C advertises a set-up time of under two minutes, and its video shows an integrated fiberglass-pole structure basically unfolding and erecting into place. The clip we watched is sped up, though, so it is hard to tell exactly how quick and easy set-up would be for a neophyte we do have to actually try it to know for sure. The company also says the design packs down easily, unlike a lot of other tents, which can require some technique to roll, pack and stuff back into the carry bag.
Ozark Trail also makes a connect tent that has a canopy built into it. Unlike the first option listed in this article, since the canopy is built in it doesnt have to be purchased separately. Setup is relatively easy. The first thing to setup is the canopy, which is basically locking the poles into the correct connectors. Since the canopy can be big and awkward to move on your own, we do recommend having two people during the setup process.
